How we review
Verdikt compares sportsbooks on verifiable facts, not marketing claims. This page is the honest, complete account of how we source, check and update every listing — written so you can audit our process the same way we audit our claims.
Where our data comes from
- Primary-source licence/regulator registers — we check the operator's licence status directly against the issuing authority, not against the operator's own marketing page.
- Each operator's own published terms and conditions, for the facts we list as specs (fees, limits, features) — never a third-party aggregator's summary.
- Independent test/verification evidence where it exists (audits, certifications shown as badges on each listing).
- Direct correspondence with an operator only to confirm a fact already found in a primary source — never as the sole source for a claim.
How we verify before publishing
- Every factual claim is checked against a primary document before it is published — not summarised secondhand from another comparison site.
- A figure we cannot verify is published as unknown (left blank), never guessed or estimated.
- Badges/licences carry a
verifiedorpendingstatus — a pending badge means we have not yet confirmed it independently. - Every listing goes through an editorial fact-check pass before it ships.
Update cadence
Content is reviewed on a recurring schedule and whenever we're notified a fact has changed. This site's content was last reviewed on . When something changes between reviews — a licence lapses, a term changes — we update the record and log it in the corrections log if the change corrects a previously published claim.
What we do NOT do
- No pay-for-ranking. An affiliate partner cannot buy a better position, a higher rating, or a badge it has not earned. Partnership status is disclosed separately (see our affiliate disclosure) and never factors into how items are ordered or scored.
- No fabricated hands-on experience. We do not claim to have personally used a product/service unless that is true and disclosed. Where firsthand experience matters and we do not have it, we say so rather than inventing it.
- No invented ratings or figures. A rating, price or spec we have not confirmed is left blank — never estimated to look complete.
Corrections
Mistakes happen. When one of our claims is wrong, we correct it and record the correction publicly — what was wrong, what's now correct, and why — on the corrections log. Found something that needs fixing? Email contact@verdikt.nl.
